Introduction to Wild Camping

12 Weeks

About the Course

If you're looking to start making steps into camping away from established campsites and into more remote locations commonly known as 'Wild Camping' then one of our courses might help with that step.

Technically, wild camping is not permitted in England unless you have the landowners permission. It is however tolerated in National Parks such as the Lake District if certain conditions are adhered to. Our courses will provide you with the knowledge and information to wild camp both responsibly and respectfully, with an emphasis on the 'Leave No Trace' ethic. We'll also be looking at kit, including your rucksack and how you pack it, different cook systems and choosing the most suitable for your adventure, your sleep system...which mat? what type of sleeping bag? as well as tips and tricks on pitching, improvised repairs, and how to manage yourself if it all gets a bit too Wild!
